Busy Busy

This has been a packed summer...Social engagements one after another. My congregation has been so busy with theocratic pursuits. First the district convention then the overseer's visit. I held a luncheon for the overseer and good number of friends. I love feeding people. I enjoy the sensual artistry of cooking and eating. I got to cook again at the pioneer school as well as serve the students. Coming up is a surprise baby shower for Angelina. I have been coordinating the food contributions. Of course I will cook again.
Other events were Tyson and Lizette's wedding. This much anticipated event was very beautiful and an emotional thriller. Son and I took something like 56 pictures. I've been having fun electronically editing the pictures and making slide shows with music. So much fun that I am seriously considering a side line of event photography and media presentations.
Son and I also performed guard duty at the construction site of the Spanish congregation's new Kingdom Hall. We love it. It is almost like camping and the responsibility is encouraging and comforting at the same time. The end of the summer will be another turn for us this time the midnight to daybreak shift.
Tomorrow I will begin a grueling three weeks of course work for my teaching license. The total will be 12 graduate credits. I pray that I have a job in September at the end of it.
The finale of the summer will be my niece's wedding on September 4 up in Maine. After that we will see what the rest of the year will be like.
